Ellie knew Joel lied. One of my biggest annoyances with defenders of part II, is that one of their main arguments is Ellie wanted to die and Joel shouldâve let her. Theyâre just dead wrong. I just finished playing the first game again, and with a new perspective, I can wholeheartedly say that Ellie, in fact, did not want to die in the end.
