The power drawn by the Auxiliary Heater (I read 5KW somewhere but it sounds a bit much) It's an electric heater, works as a flow heater in the heater circuit. Output is up to 5.5kW, +/- 10%. Easy to see how it will reduce EV mileage, even if connected at the lower home charger rate. Appreciate 1.

Anyways, the LED DRL power clips are those defacto red/black clips that normally attach to an auxiliary post off the main battery terminals, but in BMW F30s, there's only a single huge 1/2" post available. I guess nothing is meant to really be attached here as its primary purpose is for jump starting a car with jumper cable clamps.
May 24, 2017. #1. Hi, I am driving a F10 528i. Car is almost 5 years old and battery so far has not given problem for the past 5 years. But I was told by my service centre ( not PML) that the battery is getting weak and should be replaced. They do not have the right battery so could not replace.

It's not cheap but you get that BMW guarantee of the correct battery being installed. Agree that would be the best solution, yet most expensive route. 1256 posts · Joined 2007. #18 · Oct 2, 2013 (Edited) There is a temp sensor in the top of the right lower hose to the radiator. It clips in and out easily. That is only a 30.00 part and takes just a minute to change. I would drain the coolant into a clean pail first so it won't spray all over when you pop it out.
The site and diagnostics state it should be in the trunk compartment, right side by fuse box. Ive found the regular battery, where the spare tire compartment is located, but cannot find the auxiliary battery. Agin, this is bought in Germany and built in Germany, hoping thats the issue and BMW found an alternate spot for this battery.
