Assumed the battery died from the cold. Earlier this year (Jan 2022)the problem got worse, the "trunk ajar" alert started flashing constantly while driving, and the door locks started to constantly click. My battery ended up dying two nights in a row in January. Take it to a shop and got a new battery.

Btw, the other day I left my daytime running lights on for ~ 10 mins. Came back out and thought the battery was dead because the trunk wouldn't open nor would the doors unlock via the remote. Opened the door the old fashioned way, inserted key and voila. I figured it was a battery saving measure, but didn't know for sure. Nice feature, actually.
