The diagrams I have are not great for Mondeo. The box you're calling the PCM is the Auxiliary fusebox or BCM, the PCM is under the bonnet. If you can take some pictures of the fuseboxes, both under the glovebox and the one in the engine compartment it might help me track down a diagram.
The compression ratio is around 10.5:1 compared to the 19.5:1 my Mondeo TDCi is so internal cylinder pressure levels are lower. Also the boost is restricted in 1st gear, the gear damage is most likely to be a problem, to 12PSI compared to the 20PSI maximum it is set to which again, is the same as my Mondeo TDCi. Mondeo throttle lag. marcarm Posts: 1,205 Forumite. 20 March 2017 at 1:35PM. Mk4 mondeo tdci. When accelerating if you squeeze the accelerator too hard the car just revs for half a second or so before reacting and then going faster. It normally happens in 2nd and 3rd. Googling brings up some other issues with 'accelerator lag' , it's as if it's

Mondeo Electrical Fault. I have a Mondeo 03 tdci which I am having problems with. The battery light came on and I lost all power so took to mechanic who fitted a new alternator but the battery light stayed on. Mechanic diagnosed a faulty lead from altrnator to battery, so replaced this and battery is now charging but battery light is still on.

Had the EGR out today and it was indeed caked with carbon. Blasted it with brake cleaner and gave it a proper scrub, and there has been a noticeable improvement. Much less smoke and soot on a limiter bounce. However, while the valve was out of the way I noticed a 6" split in the hose between the intercooler and EGR, which is definitely where my 1. Vehicle does not drive like it used to. If your vehicle idles roughly, stalls frequently, has a drop in engine power, stumbles frequently, has reduced gas mileage, or accelerates slowly, these are all signs your camshaft position sensor could be failing. If you have any of these symptoms, it could mean the camshaft position sensor needs to

I don't remember seeing many "my turbo is knackered" threads on here for the 2.0 TDCi engine. Modern turbos "should" last for well over 120K miles, if it turns out your turbo is at the end of it's service life then there will be a reason for it such as oil starvation/contaminated oil/driver abuse etc. If you do decide to opt for "fix" make sure

My 2016 Mondeo Titanium X 2.0TDCi 150BHP has a “Turbo Under Boost” problem. Under hard acceleration the power will drop significantly and it remains down in power until I turn it off and restart. Symptoms started a couple of months ago, engine seemed to lack power from cold start, it felt like there was no turbo, after 20 seconds all was fine. This was intermittent, maybe 30% of the time. I always listen to my engine for rattles and so on, the
Thursday 28th November 2013. A colleages Astra TDCi is doing this. Check the actuator on the waste-gate, it may be stuck shut, thus excess boost is being generated which the ECU will take an
In this guide, I discuss each of these common 2.0 EcoBoost engine problems, symptoms, fixes, and reliability. Ford 2.0 EcoBoost Common Problems. If it were the turbo, you'd hear the grinding the whole time the turbo is spinning not only during acceleration. If not the sound symposer, it's definitely something leaking or vibrating in the induction path. There must be a reason the car goes into "limp home" mode when you drive hard and not when driven "sensibly". One possibility is the variable vanes in the turbine are coked up / not moving to their fullest extent, the vanes control the boost pressure via the control rod and actuator, if these items are not attenuating boost enough it may cause

EGR P0400, P0401- P0409 Diagnosis+Understanding Pt1. it seems that if the egr valve is open on idle, ie letting exhaust gases through to the inlet manifold, then that will cause engine stuttering 'cos it's only supposed to open when engine is revving, so this could be your problem. You should really buy a code reader of your own, so you can
